In the 1970's, scientists saw that the average global temperature was dropping and they started to speculate that another ice age was coming. But it turned out that the average global temperature was actually rising. Some were wondering if the effects of the heating of the earth was due to a long term pattern or if it was due to human impact. Scientists have now found that human impact is quickening the pace of global climate change. Record breaking heat waves have hit across the world due because of global warming. Sea levels are rising because of melting ice caps and long droughts are occurring. All these factors and more are due to the fact that we cannot control that amount of emissions we are letting into our atmosphere.
